/BEGINNER’S UKULELE WORKSHOP

Did you get a new ukulele for Christmas and now you need to learn how to play it? Then come and join us for this Complete Beginner’s Ukulele Workshop! The easy-to-learn and fun-to-play ukulele is the perfect first instrument for all ages or the perfect extra accompaniment for singing along with friends and family.
In our Beginner Workshop, you'll learn all the basics of the uke, including the following: tuning, beginner chords, scales, how to improvise, and how to play almost every song in the world with only 4 chords!!! Absolutely no experience is necessary for this workshop (and you don’t even need your own ukulele to try it out)!
Workshop cost is $20 if you have your own ukulele, OR borrow one from our shop for an additional $5. Pre-registration and Pre-payment are required as space is limited! Give us a call at 812-200-3300 to register and pay by phone!
FINGERSTYLE UKULELE METHODS WORKSHOP

Join us at Weed Patch Music Company for a Fingerstyle Ukulele Basics Workshop! In this workshop, we will focus on basic fingerpicking skills that allow us to accentuate the melodic lines of a song rather than just strumming our chords. We will be focusing on 4 different styles of fingerpicking for the ukulele and utilizing several different songs in our practice exercises! If you are an advanced beginner or an intermediate ukulele player that is looking to diversify your ukulele style, then this might be the workshop for you!
For this workshop, some experience on the ukulele would be beneficial. Beginner to Intermediate players who have some experience with reading chord diagrams and tablature and are familiar with the 4 main chords in the Key of C (C, F, G, Am) will be well-prepared to attend this workshop. We will provide all of the music, tablature, and chord diagrams needed for this workshop. Workshop cost is $20 if you have your own ukulele, OR borrow one from our shop for an additional $5.

BEGINNER GUITAR WORKSHOP
Friday, January 12th 2023 5:00pm–6:00pm ET
Our Acoustic Guitar Workshop will focus on guitar skills for the complete beginner! We will be learning tuning, proper right hand position, how to use a pick, left hand position and placement on the neck, how to read tablature and chord diagrams, your first scale, AND your first three chords! And, you'll get to learn your first song with a fun rhythm pattern to get you started playing!
Absolutely no experience necessary - Cost for this workshop is just $20. You don't even need your own guitar (Just borrow one from the shop for an additional $5)!! Space is limited and pre-registration and pre-payment are required, so give us a call at (812)200-3300 to secure your spot!
A WORKSHOP ON VOCALIZING AND HARMONIZING TO YOUR ACCOMPANIMENT WITH SARAH FLINT

Join us for another great Workshop here at Weed Patch Music Company - 'Singing your Songs', a Workshop on Vocalizing and Harmonizing to your Accompaniment taught by Sarah Flint of Bloomington, IN! In this workshop, Sarah will help you learn ways to vocalize and harmonize along with your instrument of choice. She will focus on helping you find the right key for your singing voice, when and how to use a capo, how to create interesting and unique harmonies and melodies, and ways to better use your voice for helping you sing your songs.
